便秘の診断

便秘は便通の回数はどれくらいなのか、便はどのような状態なのか、排便はスムースなのかなどにより診断されます。３歳以下の子供の場合には排便のときに痛んだり、便を漏らしたり、便意を我慢したりなどの症状が目立ちます。３歳以上の子供の場合には便を漏らしたり、便が直腸にたまっていたり、便意を我慢しりなどの症状が目立ちます。

生まれてから１週間までは一日に４回以上、４ヶ月くらいまでは一日２回、４歳くらいまでは一日１回が平均的な便通の回数です。３歳から４歳くらいの間は一日３回から１週間に３回くらいまでが大半を占めています。便通の回数と排便時の痛みは診断するためにとても重要な要素です。一日３回以上便通があっても、便が硬くて排便するときに痛みがある場合には便秘と考えられます。
